HORSE SHOE COAT HOOKS
Several years ago I stayed with my daughter to help her out while she was attending college.
They had coats for every type of weather conditions.
Coats were everywhere.
I asked her husband if he would put up some coat hooks so we would not have so many coats cluttering the house.
One day I had errands to run when he was off from work and when I had returned that evening he hung the coat rack.
It held all of the coats they owned!
It was fabulous!
He told me he looked at hooks they had for sale and decided to make his own.
He made 10 hooks from horse shoes ( they had from their horses ) and mounted them on a board and nailed it to a stud in the wall.

HORSE SHOES ARE VERY USEFUL ITEMS.
You can make good quality things out of horseshoes. They are heavy, durable, and last for years! They make great paper weights! If you know someone who shoes their horses, they will have used ones that will work just as good. You can buy them from a veterinary supply company for about a dollar each. I like them better than hooks you can buy.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Several horse shoes.
A piece of wood the size that will accommodate the number of hooks.
Paint.
Clamps.
Gorilla glue.
Screw gun and screws ( optional. )
Hammer and nails if you don't have a drill.

PRE-PARING THE HORSE SHOES
Clean the horse shoes with soap and water.
Allow to dry.
Paint the wood.
Paint the horse shoes.
Wait until they are completely dry.
Allow to dry.
Paint the wood.
Paint the horse shoes.
Wait until they are completely dry.
CLAMP THE HORSE SHOES.
After the horse shoes are completely dry, wet the wood where you will be applying the Gorilla Glue.
You will want to place the horse shoes evenly on both sides.
If you want to make use of more hooks place the horse shoes at a slope so you can use a top hook and a bottom hook.
This is how I made mine.
Apply a small amount of glue to the horse shoe and the wood.
You don't need a lot of glue because it swells as it drys.
Clamp the Horse shoes in place.
Allow it to completely dry.
You will want to place the horse shoes evenly on both sides.
