HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER DOG TREATS

We are just about out of treats for our three fur kids, so I thought that I would make up some fresh ones and make an Instructable at the same time.
The Things We Need

First we will gather the things that we need.
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup peanut butter (if you have all natural peanut butter, it would be healthier for your dogs)
2 large eggs
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Let's Get Cookin'

Preheat your oven to 350F, line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside.
Put the pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
Beat on medium speed until well combined ( about 1 1/2 minutes).
Adjust the mixer to low speed and gradually add the flour, beating only until it is incorporated. If the dough is sticky, you can add a little more flour, a 1/4 cup at a time. If the dough is too dry, add a little more pumpkin puree.
Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead 3-4 times until it comes together.
Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Using cookie cutters , cut out desired shapes and place onto the prepared baking sheet.
Place into oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, about 20-25 minutes
Place on your cooling rack and let cool completely.

This is Shooter waiting in front of the oven for the next batch to come out. All three dogs love them, I am sure that yours will too.
