What Is the Problem

What I thought the problem was is the overall was the amount of space in my gym and how I would space all the components I wanted to fit.

My Research

My research was what property would be suitable for the gym. How big I wanted the turf field to be in order to do stuff. Water and the bathrooms/ changing rooms are located in the front for better space use in the back of the gym also so I do not have to make more arrangements underground for the bathrooms and water. Space for the on going pandemic is also a key part in this. Rooms for additional equipment for a more clean and tidy space.

Brainstorm

My brainstorming was thinking about the layout and what I should include in the gym with size. I was thinking where should the layout would make the most sense. I ended up making sketches of the multiple levels that I wanted in them.

Creating My Model

1st floor details- If you are looking at the picture above the room that is smaller on the left is the employees work space and break room. This is for signing into the gym and they can have sports balls for you if you want like to use them. Off to the right are the stairway for going upstairs onto the second level. Off to the left and right is the weight rooms they are 45 by 35 easy to fit benches and racks. Now in the back is the 190 by 90 foot field and between the weight rooms is the hall way to get to the field.

2nd floor details- In the bottom left is the stair case for the second/ first level. On the top left long ways is the recovery room the room is 30 by 100 feet. In the big space I would include a running space, and yoga space and even more like cardio. The bottom left room is space for yoga balls, hurdles and even more.

More About My Design

With my design I wanted multiple levels for more space for recovery equipment upstairs with a room for it at the front right of the stairs, and yoga space. The yoga space is upstairs instead of downstairs due to use of space and usually after a workout the day before you will be sore and do recovery/ yoga and a film room. I have a room for rolling equipment and hurdles ect. to store and keep open space. Now the bottom level/ the first level has doors in front and once you walk in the front desk is right there and ready to sign in!

Final Design

My final design is a 200 by 200 foot multiple level gym. With a height of 90 feet.
