Easy and beautiful and vibrantly colored cookies.

I made these using a sugar cookie dough and gummy bears.

The gummy bears lend a chewy jelly like center and the crisp cookie around it is an interesting combination.

The translucent center looks very attractive just like a Multicolored stained glass window.

Take the sugar cookie dough.

Place it on a parchment paper and roll it out into a thick sheet.

Thick=1cm

See that the sheet is even.

With a larger(circular) cookie cutter cut out "large" cookies.

Pull out the cookie dough carefully leaving the cut out cookies on the sheet.

Re roll the dough and make more cookies.

With a smaller cutter (butterfly, chick motive) cut out right in the center of the larger cookie.

Place the sheet in the baking tray.

The cookies look like hollow frames.

Now we will need some gummy bears...all different colored ones.

Arrange them in the hollow part of the cookies in different color combinations you like.

Do not over fill the gummy bears as when they melt they overflow.

DO NOT MOVE THE COOKIES AT THIS STAGE OR ELSE THEY BREAK

Pre heat the oven to 180C.

place the baking tray in the middle of the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.checking the oven now and then to See that you do not over bake the cookies......that will you you caramel and if you wait longer tar and charcoal!!!

just kidding

Cookies are done when the dough starts turning slightly brownish, and the gummy bears have formed one molten mass.

Allow them to cool.

the cookies are ready....they go along very well with black tea.

Are you asking me about their shelf life??? No idea....my cookie monsters attack every crumb in a short span of time.

BON APPETITE!
