Gripping a Skateboard

Today, I will be showing you how to grip a skateboard. because it is cheaper than buying a new skateboard and some people don't know-how.

Supplies

the stuff you will be needing for this project is a skateboard deck, a sheet of grip tape, a hairdryer, a skate tool, and a razor blade.

Getting Started

first, you will need a hairdryer to take off the grip that is already on the board, you will blow the heat on the grip to unstick the fibers that are sticking to the board.

in the next step, you will start to pull off the grip on the board if you have done have a grip on it don't worry about this step but if you do start to pull nice and gentle so you can get it in one go.

Optional Step

this step is optional, you can take the scissors and cut any design in the griptape to make it look cool.

Putting the Grip On

in this step, you will put the grip on the board and the sticky side goes on the deck.

Scraping, Cutting and Sanding

this step is the easiest, you will take the skate tool and you will scrape the excess grip, then you will take the scissors and cut it off, and then with some of the excess grip you will sand down the edges to make it look smooth.
