Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich
I love warm sandwiches and one of the ones I lived on as I was growing up was a grilled cheese sandwich. I still love them, only now they have a grown up twist. I grill ham, cheddar cheese and cream cheese together. Ummmmmm, wonderful! Here is how I make them.
Supplies:
Bread (I use homemade wheat bread)
Ham deli sliced, smoked
Tillamook medium cheddar cheese, sliced
Cream cheese
Butter
George Foreman (GF) grill (or a fry pan and a stove if you don’t hav

Heat the GF to medium high. If you don’t have a GF, heat a fry pan on a medium/medium high stove.
First lay out two slices of bread (white works as well as wheat).
On one side (the slice on the right) lay enough Tillamook cheese slices to cover the bread.

Spread enough cream cheese to cover the other slice of bread (in the picture the slice on the left).
Put the cream cheese covered slice of bread on the ham, cream cheese side down.
Spread a small amount of butter on the outside of the sandwiches.

Put the sandwich on the GF
and close the lid. Wait for the Tillamook to melt (less than 5 minutes). If using a fry pan and the stove, put the sandwich one butter side down on the fry pan. Let heat until golden brown. Flip it over and cook the other side until it is golden brown.
Remove the sandwich from the cooking surface and place on a plate, cut and take a bite. Yum, the cream cheese really adds something...great! Enjoy!
