Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwich
Grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my favorite sandwiches; especially during the winter. It was not quite so hot today, so I made tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches! I make them different than anyone I know. We love them.
Ingredients
For one sandwich:
I used 4 slices of Swiss cheese.
2 Slices of sourdough bread.
4-6 thin tomato slices.
1 Lettuce leaf.
Tab of butter.
2-4 slices of cooked bacon.
Italian seasonings to taste.
Parmesan cheese to taste.
Pepper to taste.
Salt if desired.
Miracle Whip or mayonnaise.

Wash and Slice
Cook the bacon.
While the bacon is cooking . . . .
Wash the tomatoes and lettuce.
Slice the tomatoes.
Lightly spread butter, or Miracle Whip, or Mayonnaise on 2 slices of sourdough bread. I only added a tab of butter to the skillet but it is easier and more uniform to spread it over the bread first.

Sunshiine's Final Thoughts
I usually serve this with tomato soup! It is very good. Add parsley and a pickle and your family will beg for more! Here is a different way to make canned Tomato soup: https://www.instructables.com/id/Flavor-Up-Canned-Tomato-Soup/
