Graphic Design From IOS

image.jpg

In this tutorial I will teach you how to create a professional looking graphic design from your iOS device

Inspiration could strike when you're away from your desk

Capture your your design idea using your iOS device

Your iOS device can be more than just a phone or a tablet, it could be the most helpful & beneficial design tool

You don't need fancy softwares to create a professional looking graphic design

All you need is your iOS device (whether an iPhone or an iPad)

And lots of creativity!

So are you ready to start graphic designing?

Get your iPhone &/or iPad and let's start! ;-)

Font

I dowloaded this futuristic font named Electro from the Creative Market

to my mac and then synced to my iOS via iTunes

Creative Market has really cool stuff for designers created by designer

I work with apple devices, so I need the font installed on my mac & iOS (see pics)

But you can download directly from your iOS

FILE SHARING (Mac/PC)

Using iTunes, you can copy font files between your computer and apps on your iOS device. Connect your iOS device to your computer using the included Dock Connector to USB cable. Launch iTunes on your computer.

App

Use your fave design app as long as the font is compatible with the app

Once you have downloaded/installed your font & app you can proceed to design

Open your app
First thing you have to do is to load an image
I loaded a photo from my photo album
But you can take a photo or load a plain image from the app

Text

Once you have loaded your image you can add text
Tap on the screen until you the word text appears (see pic)

Click Font > My Fonts
You'll notice the Electro WebFont on top> Click on it

Tap on the text you wrote on the image>Style
There are plenty of text options (see pics)
Don't be afraid to try everything until you're happy with your text!
There are color options, shadow, spacing, curving, underline, etc

Symbol

You might wanna add symbols/icons
Click on Symbol
There's a symbol gallery

Plenty of symbols for you to choose from

It's kind of combination of iOS emoticons and mac special characters

Flyer

Since the font is inspired by electronic music
I created myself a flyer, I'm not a professional dj, I'm more of a bedroom dj lol (It was just an example)

You don't have to be a dj or musician to use this font, you can use this font regardless of field, or you can search for other fonts from the Creative Market

Optional: Use your fave photo filter app to add texture to your image (see pics)
Make sure not to cover important information

Business Card

Create your business card using this awesome Electro Webfont or any other fonts from the Creative Market

They have plenty of fonts for you to choose from

I would recommend loading an plain image (white) with black text
Simplicity can be a good thing when it comes to design (minimalism)

Don't forget to include important information

  1. Name
  2. Profession
  3. Contact (Phone Number, Email, Social Media Profiles, Work Address, etc)
  4. QR code (optional)

There you have it!
