Gourmet KD: Cream of Fungi
In this instalment of my Gourmet KD.... Cream of Fungi! The creamiest KD you will ever have.
The goal of this series of ibles it to take a classic comfort food (powerdered macaroni and cheese) and give it a little extra class.
What You Need
You will need
- A pot
- Water
- A can of cream of mushroom (not soup, and not a packet)
- A box of macaroni and cheese of the orange variety
- Butter or margarine
Make the Noodles
Hopefully by now you are already an expert at boiling water. Just bring a pot of water to a boil, and cook the noodles for 6 minutes. Then, turn off the stove and drain the water.
Mix It
Once the water is strained, add the margarine in the pot, and put the noodles back in. Place it on the still warm stovetop, but don't turn it on.
This is where we deviate from the instructions. No milk, here, just open up that can of cream of mushroom, and slop it in there with the powdered cheese, and mix it up.
