Gluten Free Pasta
If you eat gluten free you know how hard it is to find good pasta. So I decided to try and make some. This pasta can be used with your favorite sauce. Also makes great mac and cheese.
Ingredients
3/4 cup of Bob's 1 to 1 baking flour - gluten free
1/4 cup rice flour - gluten free
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
Makes two servings. You can double for 4 servings.
Mix Together
Mix both flours and salt and pour in the food processor. Beat the eggs and then add to the flour mixture. Now mix all in the food processor until well mixed. It will look crumbly.
Roll Out the Dough
Press the dough into a round ball. If it will not form a ball put water on your hands and mix. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin as thin as you like. Cut the dough into strips. Gluten free dough does not work well in a pasta machine. Without gluten it does not stretch very well. We like to cut it into small pieces.
Cook the Pasta
Put a pot of water on the stove, add salt and bring to a boil. Now add your pasta. Cook for about 4 minutes. Drain the pasta.
Add You Toppings and Eat
Now add your favorite sauce or toppings. We like a butter and Parmesan cheese on ours. I added 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, sprinkle of garlic powder and 1/2 tsp of basil and 1 tsp of parsley. Mix well and enjoy.
