Materials:

4 oz. bottle of white glue (aka school glue or Elmer's)

Glow in the dark paint

Liquid dish soap

Container for mixing "ingredients"

Spoon

Plastic page protector

Printed design (to use as a template)

Paintbrush (optional)

Pour the Entire Bottle of Glue Into the Mixing Container

Add About 10 Drops of Dish Soap to the Glue

Add About 2 Teaspoons of Glow in the Dark Paint to the Glue

Note: the measurements for the dish soap and paint do not have to be exact. Estimate the measurement the best you can. You can also add a couple drops of food coloring if you want your window clings to come out a different color.

Mix Everything in the Cup (glue, paint, soap) With a Spoon

Note: You need to stir everything in a cup instead of trying to add ingredients directly into the bottle of glue and shaking it. Shaking alone does not combine the ingredients well enough. It does not work otherwise.

Pour the Mixture From the Cup Back Into the Glue Bottle

Shake the Bottle Vigorously to Ensure Everything Is Mixed Well

Insert the Design Template Into the Page Protector

Note: In this example Halloween designs were used but you can make any design you choose to print out.

Apply the Glue Mixture to the Page Protector

Note: Apply glue by tracing the design on the page protector. You want to apply the glue thick enough that it produces a sturdy cling, but not so thick that it is unable to dry.

Let Clings Dry

Let clings dry for about 24 hours before removing them from the page protector.

Remove Clings From Page Protector

Once the clings are dry, they are ready to be used! Remove them from the page protector and put them on your windows. If you are having difficulty getting them to stick, slightly dampen the window with a wet washcloth before pressing the cling to the window.
