Glow in the Dark Lava Lamp
Materials:
• Mason Jar
• 2/3 Cup Water
• 1 Cup Vegetable oil
• 1 or more Alka-Seltzer tablet(s)
• 2 Glow Sticks
• Scissors or Knife
Time: Approx. 5 minutes

Add Vegetable Oil
Add 1 cup of vegetable oil.
Add Water
Add 2/3 cup water into the jar. Wait 30 seconds until the water has mostly settled to the bottom.
Crack Glow Stick
Crack and shake one glow stick until it is completely lit up.

Cut Off Top of Glow Stick
Holding the glow stick upright, take scissors or a knife and cut off the top of the glow stick.

Empty Contents of Glow Sticks Into Jar
Empty contents of the glow stick into jar. Do not mix or stir.
Repeat steps 3-5 with the second glow stick.

Add Alka-Seltzer & Watch
Drop one Alka-Seltzer tablet into the jar to give the jar the lava lamp effect.
Add another tablet after the first completely dissolves if desired.
