I made a space efficient clinic for less fortunate communitities that are not near hospitals. This will allow people with not so severe injuries to get help without travelling to a far hospital just to wait hours to get barely any attention.

Supplies

To Make the clinics floor plan/blueprints I used:

-Paper

-Reference photos

-drawing materials

To make the digital model I used:

-Computer

-Autodesk Fusion Program

Floor Plan

Start with making the floor plan:

  1. You want to make sure you make it big enough for the planned rooms.
  2. Add in reference lines to where the walls will be to separate in inside area from the outside.

*Make sure to refer to your drawn blueprint during this step.*

In the second photo you can see how the floor will line up with the floor.

Walls/rooms

IMG_0225.png

Next you will want to make all the interior and exterior walls/rooms.

  1. The thickness of the walls is important because you want it to be realistic as well as not taking up more room than needed.
  2. In the washroom area you will want to make wall to represent stall walls.
  3. Make sure to space it for a handicap stall.

*The second picture is the same angle after all steps are followed. For comparison you can see the base walls needed to be added

Doors

IMG_0242.png
IMG_0244.png

For the doors making them slightly open will allow a visual representation of how far they ill swing to make sure you do not put anything in their path.

  1. Make one door on each of the testing rooms.
  2. You will repeat this process for the supply room
  3. Then you will create double doors for the entrance of the clinic

Desk

IMG_0243.png
IMG_0246.png
IMG_0245.png

The receptionist area is right near the entrance to ensure convenience for patients coming in. They will be able to easily get further instructions on their injuries.

  1. Begin with making a long enough desk for at leas two receptionist
  2. You will continue to make computers on which the receptionist will access all medical information needed for the patient. The computer should be accompanied by a keyboard and mouse.
  3. Next make a reasonable sized chair behind each computer.

Testing Rooms

IMG_0247.png
IMG_0248.png

The point of this clinic is to help out smaller communities that do not have access to hospitals so testing rooms are a key part to include. There may not be that many in this small clinic but it’s better than none.

  1. Start with making chairs in each room. Make a sure to include arm rests to that blood tests are able to be done.
  2. Next you will create a dresser where supplies will be kept for these rooms.
  3. They will include spacious drawers where testing files/cups as well as needles will be stored for quick use in rooms to ensure convenience.

Washrooms

IMG_0262.png

Having washrooms in a public place is important so the next step is to add stalls in. It will also include a handicap stall.

  1. Start with making a double sink that include faucets.
  2. Next include a mirror on the wall above the sink
  3. Using the guidelines of the stalls made previously design a toilet of choice to put in each stall.
  4. For extra detail add handles for the doors of the stalls.

*The last picture is a more detailed photo of the toilet built.*

Curtains

IMG_0252.png

The treating area is the most importantly part of the clinic. This is the area where patients will be seen by the doctors and treated for any necessary injuries/diseases.

  1. Start making rods along the roof that the curtain will hang from to provide privacy for the patients.
  2. Next create the curtains and make sure to attach them to the rods.

Beds

IMG_0253.png
IMG_0254.png

Each privacy area will include one bed and an IV post for any meds needed during the visit.

  1. start with making the beds in each room.
  2. Helpful tip is making the four leg posts then make the on top including a small feature of a pillow.
  3. next comes the IV post which includes a hook to hang meds off of.

Waiting Rooms

IMG_0255.png
IMG_0253.png

The waiting room is located right across from the treating area shown in the pictures above. This is the area for patients loved ones to wait while any test are being done or any exams.

  1. Start with making one chair and copy and paste and move the next one next to the first one.
  2. Add around 6 to make sure not to crowd the area too much.

Supply Room

IMG_0256.png
IMG_0257.png

Next is the supply room for the whole clinic which is very important.

  1. Begin With creating a platform out of the building to expand the supply room to whatever size you want while still keeping it small.
  2. Next build racks along on all the walls.
  3. Make sure to change the size of the racks to ensure different size supplies can fit.

Windows

IMG_0258.png
IMG_0259.png

Now that we are reaching the end it is time to start adding the smaller features of the clinic.

  1. Start with making three windows across from the treating area then two along the wall next to the waiting room shown in the picture above.
  2. And for the final window it will be located behind the front desk in the clinic.

Texture

IMG_0260.png
IMG_0226.png

Texture brings the model of the clinic alive and shown above are all the different textures I included into the design. You can change it however you want to make it look best for you.

Final Touches

IMG_0261.png
IMG_0223.png

To end this design add the roof leaving an overhang area for the front of the clinic to provide cover in bad weather.

Done

IMG_0222.png

And just like that the clinic is done. Having small clinics like this allow minimal staff and minimal supplies meaning lower costs reach communities that are in desperate need of medical attention.
