Glow & Go: the Illuminated Wearable Cup Holder

Do you need a hands-free way to enjoy your drink? Have you ever wished your cup holder could move with you? Introducing my wearable cup holder: a revolutionary creation that allows you to keep your drink close while moving freely. This is ideal for seniors or anyone who wants a convenient place to keep their drinks on the go. This cup holder prevents spills so that you can enjoy your beverage!

When I started this project, I didn’t know where to begin and felt lost for a while. The next day, while eating breakfast, I brainstormed and thought about a cup holder that you can take anywhere to light up your beverage! Then I needed to find the measurements of a water bottle and a Coca-Cola can to get the necessary measurements for my cup holder. This was my first printed design. It was too large, and the jockstraps were too small. I decided to enhance it by making it lighter and increasing the size of the jockstraps.

This picture is the bottom of my final design. I needed this part to measure whether an LED Cup holder light fit inside while trying to be material sufficient.

I fit the LED cup holder light into my cup holder in this step. I attached a Velcro strip to the bottom of the LED cup holder light and the inside bottom of my cup holder to make any beverage glow! The final design is below.
