Glass Coaster Made From Banana Stems Fibers

I wanted to make craft. ( something that cost less money to prepare )

I live in Suriname.

Suriname has a lot of banana trees.

I have also a banana tree, in my backyard.

One day, i was watching my banana tree, and i noticed the banana fibers.

I thought to myself, what if i could use the banana fibers.

And YESS, that is how i came up with the idea, of banana fibers glass coaster.

And YESS, i made it, and it was easy to prepare.

Dried Banana Fibers

Dried Vines ( stems )

First of all, cut a few banana stems barks. ( rind )

Leave these rinds for 1 day to dry.

The next day, cut those rinds in small strips.

Let those small strips dry up, for 1 day.

After that, when those banana strips are dried up.

Take a small dried vine. ( stems )

Vines are easy to bendt.

Bendt a dried vine in a round cirkel.

Take a dried banana fiber strip & fold it around the dried vine.

Make sure, that it is folded good.

Tie the end of the strip tight.

Now you have a small dried vine, that is folded with dried banana fibers strips.

Take now, another dried vine ( little longer one )

Repeat the same process ............ .

Bendt the dried vine in a round cirkel.

Take a dried banana fiber strip & fold it around the dried vine.

Make sure, that it is folded good.

Tie the end of the strip tight.

Now you have a little longer dried vine, that is folded with dried banana fibers strips.

Take now, a much larger dried vine.

Repeat the same process ............. .

Now you have a much larger dried vine, that is folded with dried banana fibers strips.

You have 3 dried vine ( stems ), that are folded with dried banana fibers strips.

Take some dried banana fibers strips,

And fold those banana fibers, around the small rounded vine & medium rounded vine

( combine it )

Make sure that the small rounded vine & medium rounded vine,

are good folded together.

( at the end of the folding, you should get 2 rounded cirkels )

Now, take the larger rounded dried vine ( stem )

Take some dried banana fibers strips.

Fold those banana fibers, around the large dried vine & the 2 others

( combine it )

Make sure, that all 3 dried vines ( stems ), are folded good together.

( at the end of the folding, you should get 3 rounded cirkels )

At the end, you get your Banana Fibers Glass Coaster

The steps are easy.

Practise it, a couple of times, and then you are good to go.
