Guacamole - Recipe 1 (Avocado, Onion, Cucumber, Tomato ++)
Avocado is a very healthy fruit packed with all the nutrition and its almost tasteless making it easier to blend with other foods. I would like share a very useful tip when it comes to keeping a cut avocado fresh without turning dark. TIP - Apply oil after cutting and this will keep it fresh and not let it get oxidized or turn black. (Image 1 & 2).
Before touching avocado, I cut (Brunoise technique) one big onion, 1 tomato, 1 cucumber into very small squares. I also cut lemons into small pieces. Refer image 5.
Starting at the top, I slit an avocado lengthwise in half and twisted carefully to separate the halves. Using a clean spoon, I removed and discarded the pit. Scooped one half in the palm to removed the flesh, discarding the skin. Repeated this with 2 more avocados. Mashed the avocados using a potato masher. Slowly chopped and placed in the glass bowl. Mixed everything on the plate as shown in image 5. Drizzled lemon juice over. Added Himalayan pink salt and now Guacamole - Recipe is ready to eat and serve. Look at the mouth-watering image 7. Doesn't this look yummy :-)
