Make yourself a really simple and delicious syrup.

I'm sharing with you a great recipe that I found about recently.
I love this combination as it is really refreshing and I love the ginger taste that it leaves behind.

Ingredients

You will need:

• sugar
• fresh lemon and/or orange
• ginger
• fresh mint
• water

This syrup is made with the 1:1 ratio. It means that you need one cup of water, one cup of sugar and one cup of fresh lemon juice. How big the cup will be, really depends on how much syrup you wont to make.

You can combine with the lemon and orange. I'm lucky that I have those in garden, so I combine them when making the syrup. You can put only lemon as the original recipe says.

The amount of ginger and mint depends on your taste. I put 200 g unpeeled ginger for 1 liter of syrup. The amount of mint I put roughly.

Chopping, Boiling and Straining

After making juice from lemon and/or orange, chopping the mint and peeling the ginger you are almost ready. Only thing you need is to chop the ginger in small cubes.

Put all the ingredients in the pot and turn on the gas. Put the gas on maximum and wait until the syrup boils. When it starts boiling turn the gas on minimum and cook for 7-10 minutes. Stir it occasionally ass it is not important.

After that wait some time for syrup to cool down.

After the syrup is cooled you need to strain the syrup in the bottle. I recommend glass one.

Store your syrup in the fridge, in that way it can last for months.

So, that's it. I really hope you like mine very first Instructable, and that you will enjoy the syrup.

Regards! :)
