Hello Everyone,

In this instructable, I'm gonna make you aware of special South Indian Home remedy, that helps to fight of cold, sore throat during winter season at the bay. This recipe take only handful ingredients that are easily available, major ingredient is ginger.

Why have chosen ginger, because ginger extra ordinary benefits but i'm gonna list something revelant to keeping your body warm / maintain your body temperature by consuming it.

Just few pointies

  • Incorporating Ginger into your diet provides a natural way to stay warm during the cold season. Its inherent heat- producing quality helps the body combat the chill
  • Ginger aids digestion by promoting the release of digestive enzymes. This can be especially beneficial during winter when heavy, comforting meals are more common.

Supplies

1) Organic Ginger - 50 g

2) Damask Rose - 2-3 Flowers

3) Palm Sugar - 50 g

4) Palm Jaggery - 50 g

Yes there is difference between Palm sugar and Palm Jaggery

5) Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp

6) Licorice root powder - 1/2 tsp

7) Organic ghee ( Clarified butter ) - 1/2 tsp

& Pinch of salt

Benefits of Each ingredients

Ginger

Ginger Boosts Immune System Ginger can soothe coughs and sore throats and improve your recovery time due to its compounds that can boost immunity. Most coughs caused by sore throats are caused by viruses. This includes the common cold, flu, and mononucleosis. Cold medicine can't kill viruses, but ginger can.

Damask Rose

Has anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties, remedy for cold

Palm Jaggery

When ingested regularly, palm jaggery boosts haemoglobin and treats anaemia. It is high in magnesium and helps to regulate the neural system. Calcium contributes to the creation and maintenance of healthy bones.

Turmeric Powder

Turmeric contains curcumin; natural anti-inflammatory that can help reduce inflammation in the respiratory system. It's also a natural antiseptic that can help fight infections that cause colds and coughs.

Licorice Root Powder 

Licorice root is believed to support and protect the respiratory system. It's also been used as an expectorant. This is to help clear excess mucus from the upper and lower airways

Ginger Paste

wash, peel skin of ginger and chop it, add it mixie grinder along with damask rose, blend well in fine paste

Paste to Gum Consistency

Add the blended ginger and rose paste in non-stick pan add palm jaggery and palm sugar, after adding colour changes and water in both ingredient starts to evaporate, keep sauting until it all water evaporates

Rest of Ingredients

Add turmeric powder, licorice powder, ghee and pinch of salt and mixing again for even disturbution. Finally it will reach a condition that it doesn't stick to the pan

Strike the Iron While Its Hot

Meaning, you have only few minutes to mould this into shape you prefer, apply ghee or oil so that it doesn't stick on your fingers.

Starting rolling and line them up in parchment paper. Once it chills down its completely ready.

Store in air tight container for a month. Very useful home remedy for cold or cough happening during winter season
