Giant Screw Coat Hanger

In this Instructable, I am going to show you how to make a BIG screw head ready to be installed as a Pop style coat hanger
Modelling the Screw Head.

I started by getting a picture of a screw to use as a reference in order to get the proportions right. I used it to make a sketch of the screw head profile and made it into a solid with the revolve feature.
Adding Some Details

I then added the cross-shaped indentation to the front and applied some fillets.
Shaping the Thread

Next, I made a hole on the bottom and made a thread in the inside, after which I removed the excess with a cut-extrude operation. I know it is not the way you would go about modelling a thread, but is the way that gave me the best results when I tried to print it.
Making the Coupler

To link the giant screw head with the actual screw for the installation I made a separate piece.
It started as a cylinder with a slight bezel to which I applied a thread.
Finishing the Coupler

After some slight height adjusments, I used cut-extrude to make a hole inthe center, followed by a cut revolve to make space for the screw head.
Print Away!

Now that the models are ready we get to print them in a nice 1:1 scale :). You can find the models in the following link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868718.
I used black PETg with 20% infill and a 0,2 layer resolution.
Installation: Tiny Screw

Choose a spot to place the screw hanger and make a hole. Place the expansion plug in the hole, pass the screw through the coupler and screw it tightly into the wall.
Installation: BIG Screw

Now you can screw in the screw head of your Giant Screw Hanger! (what a mouthful)
Ready to Go!

You can now use your giant screw head to hang your jacket. Or just leave it there to puzzle your visitors.
