Giant Lily Pad Paper Art

In this Instructables, you will learn how to make a giant lily pad out of paper!

This origami looks amazing, and is actually very easy to make!

A couple sheets of green origami paper. The number depends on how "compressed" you want your lily pad to be.

Valley fold each sheet into eights as shown.

Mountain fold each part in the previous step into 16 parts.

Mark a length on each piece of paper at the same place (as shown) so we can fold all pieces the same way.

Fold along the mark for each piece of paper.

Tape folded pieces together into a circle, matching the shape.

Cut a circle of green construction paper a little bit smaller than the center circle of the origami lily pad. Trace and cut a circle from the cardboard of the same size.

Glue the construction paper to cardboard circle first, then glue this with construction paper side to the center of the back of lily pad to support the structure.
