Glue two popsicle sticks together. Then glue the popsicle sticks to the base of a fillable clear plastic ornament.

Add the Lights

Once the glue is dry, feed the fairy lights into the fillable plastic ornament. Then glue the battery pack to the popsicle stick.

Be sure to glue the battery pack with the screws facing up so you can change out the battery if needed.

Add the Tablecloth

Cut out a square piece of the tablecloth that’s roughly 18×18 inches. If you’re making a taller ghost, make it bigger.

Then place the base of the ghost light onto the table cloth and add glue to the front and back of the base of the ornament. Glue the tablecloth to the ornament so that the bottom of the table cloth lines up in the front and back.

Form the Ghost Shape

Add glue all around the base of the ornament and scrunch the tablecloth around it. If needed, you can glue it from the outside to secure it. Just be careful with the glue gun as it can melt the tablecloth.

Draw the Eyes

Use the permanent marker to draw too long ovals for the eyes.

Enjoy!

Then your ghost light is ready to use! Push the popsicle stick into the ground, keeping the battery pack off the ground.
