How to Make a Wind Turbine
Hello everyone, here I will present for you a creative idea of generating electricity by using a wheel. Briefly, in this project I mix between the past and the present by merging the old wooden form of a wheel with the modern generating system which mainly based on the renewable resources of the nature like wind and water(winter).
The basic element in my project is the wooden wheel that causes the rotational motion of the dynamo and generates electricity, and here we deduce the importance of the circular shape of the wheel in a totally different from what we know that it is used for transportation in cars,bicycle....
So, many things in our life have different uses that can be useful for us.
Materials:
- sticks of wood
- wooden rods
- dynamo
- lamp
- wire
-
faucet
- plastic paper
- rubber rings
Tools:
- drill
- hole saw bit 2''=51mm
- glue gun
- marker
- electric scotch
- spray

Initial Design of the Wheel
Saw the Center of the Wheel
Using a drill saw 2 wooden circles of daimeter 2"
Glue the Two Circles
Add the Wooden Sticks
Glue the sticks to the circular center, by adding 8 sticks in each side and each pair is
collinear.
Add the Terminals
add each terminal of a stick to it's parallel terminal in the other side.
Connect the Diagonals of the Wheel
add another stick between each consecutive diagonals.
Paint the Wheel
using a spray paint the wheel in the color that you want.
Wooden Wheel !!
Set Up the Dynamo
put the dynamo in the center of the wheel.
Add Rubber Rings
add rubber rings to prevent access of dust or wires to the dynamo rod.
Cut the Plastic Paper
Cut the plastic papers of size 20/16 cm.
Add the Plastic Papers to the Wheel
add a plastic paper on each of the 8 rods.
Stand for the Generating System
Fix the Generator
band the dynamo with the stand.
Wiring
wire the dynamo with the lamp.
Put the Project in the Test Field
Testing It
Here the wind was the source that the generator depends on to light the lamp. the lamp lighting depends on the force of the wind or rain.
Additional Useful Source From Nature
add a faucet to a gallon to collect water for plants by putting it under the project if the weather was rainy so that will also generates electricity by the force of rain.
