These are a unique and geeky pair of light-up LED earrings. A nice piece of jewelry to wear at geeky events like comic-con and other sci-fi conventions, where you can be the star of the show.

Glue the LED to Battery

Glue one of the pins of the LED to the battery, either the anode to the positive terminal of the coin cell or the cathode to the negative terminal of the coin cell. Do not glue both so that the LED turns on on-command by pressing on it, unless you want it always on. This is up to you!

Test Continuity

Using the continuity setting on a multimeter, probe the anode and cathode of the LED. You should not hear a beep. If you do, that means there's a short circuit.

Copper Ring

To make it even more geeky instead of just using a decorative string or nylon wire, let's use copper wire! Glue the copper wire to both sides of the battery and make sure that the hot glue gun is insulating the wire so that it's not contacting the coin cell.

Enjoy!
