Geeky Glasses Pencil Clip

Balancing pencils behind your ears is often considered a geek thing. Wearing glasses is also often considered a geek thing. Unfortunately, it is difficult to do both at the same time, and, for the benefit of geeks all over the world, I invented this to make it easier. Essentially, it is a clip glued to the side of your glasses to hold pencils. Enjoy!

What You'll Need

For this project, you will need the following:

  • A Pair of Scissors
  • A Pencil
  • A Straw
  • A Sharpie
  • A Container of Krazy Glue
  • A Pair of Old Glasses
  • A Large Amount of Geekiness

Preparing the Clip

Cut approx. 1" off of the end of your straw. Using your scissors, cut a slit down the entire length of the 1" segment. Insert your pencil into your clip, and, using your Sharpie, color the clip black.

Gluing the Clip

Apply Krazy Glue to the outside middle of the glasses' temple that is on your predominant side. Press the clip (with pencil still clipped in) firmly against the glue, and hold until the glue dries.

Sharpening Your Pencil
