Garlic and Parsley Bread
If you like garlic, this recipe is for you! it is a French specialty from Vendée made with butter, garlic and parsley. It's a very simple and really delicious recipe to serve as an aperitif!
To reproduce this garlic bread, you will need the following ingredients:
- 500 g flour,
- 30 to 40 cl of water,
- 1 packet of dry yeast,
- 100 g of butter ½ salt, softened,
- 2 or 3 small garlic cloves chopped,
- salt.
Preheat the oven at thermostat 6, 180 ° C.
Pour the yeast in a bowl and add a little water to dilute it. let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes. The yeast must fall completely to the bottom of the bowl.
In another large bowl pour the flour.
Add the water-yeast mixture and a pinch of salt. knead for a long time for about 10 minutes. If the dough is too dry add a little water but not too much if not it will be too wet. Mix until obtaining a slightly sticky and homogeneous dough. let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Once the dough has risen, flour the work surface and place the pastry on it.
Give it the shape of an elongated and flat rectangle. Put in the oven for a dozen minutes.
Finely chop the garlic. I did not specify it well at the beginning but if you like parsley you can add some. If so cut it with scissors.with the softened butter, make softened butter by crushing it with a spoon.
Once the bread is cooked cut it into duex and spread it with the butter mixture. rest the other half of the bread and return to the oven for a few minutes.
Cut small sections of 2 centimeters and serve as an aperitif !!
