If you're a cheese lover like me, then this is definitely for you. The Garlic-Cheese Toast is that classic toast recipe that can never go wrong no matter the occasion. They can be used to make a sandwich again, or can be enjoyed delightfully, just the way they are.
This recipe is a treat to all those cheese lovers out there. In this Instructable, I'm gonna show you how to make an awesome garlic-cheese toast, in under 20 minutes. So let's put on our cooking hats !!
The Ingredients
Just like all the regular toast recipes, this one also has quite less and simple ingredients. Make sure you find the following stuff before getting started.
- Bread
- Unsalted Butter (2-3 Tbsp)
- Garlic (1-2 Tbsp Properly Minced)
- Grated Cheese (1 Cup)
- Chili Flakes (For Topping)
The Garlic Butter
First you need to make the garlic butter for coating the bread. For this, you'll need some garlic cloves and soft unsalted butter.
Finely chop or mince the garlic using a knife. Or you can just blend it into a rough paste using a blender. Now mix about 2 Tablespoons of this minced garlic with 3 Tablespoons of butter and make it into a paste. Now the bread is ready to be coated.
Coat the Bread
Now once you have the garlic butter ready, it's time to give a nice coat of it to the bread slices.
Take a slice of bread and on each side, using a spoon or a buttering knife, spread the garlic butter. Make sure that the spread is even . You can also make it into a French toast by dipping it into whipped egg and setting it aside.
Now set aside this coated bread for a couple of minutes.
Time to Toast
Now after coating the bread with Garlic butter, put a tawa on the stove or pre-heat the oven to about 190C. Now if you're using the oven, bake the bread for about 12 minutes and take it out. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the toast and bake it again for about 3 minutes till the cheese melts.
If you're using the tawa (pan) for toasting, then you need to toast the bread a little bit, then sprinkle grated cheese. You can cover the toast with a lid till the cheese melts.
Serving Time
Once the bread is toasted, it's time for some topping and serving. Here for topping, I've used some chili flakes.
You can spice it up with own ideas like using chili flakes, crushed pepper or even with fresh herbs or dried herbs.
This is a recipe loved by everyone, which can be served along side some mayonnaise and tomato ketchup. This can be a delicious breakfast as well as a tasty snack.
Bon Apetit !!
