Garlic Bread
Eat this garlic bread with your pasta, beans, or anything else you choose. You can even warm it up a little and eat it as a midnight snack. When your stomach is grumbling for something yummy this garlic bread is sure to satisfy!! On top of all that, it is easy to make so be sure to give it a try!πͺπͺ

Making the Dough
To make the dough:
β Measure 3 cups of warm water in the bowl of your mixer with the stirring attachment.
β Add 5 tsps of yeast and stir.
β Mix in 3 tbsps of sugar, 3 tbsps soft butter, 1tbsp salt, and 1 beaten egg.
β Stir in 4 cups of white flour. Once the flour is stirred in, remove the stirring paddle and replace it with the dough hook.
β Add 4 - 6 more cups of white flour or enough to form a stiff yet elastic dough.
β Measure 3 cups of warm water in the bowl of your mixer with the stirring attachment.
β Add 5 tsps of yeast and stir.
β Mix in 3 tbsps of sugar, 3 tbsps soft butter, 1tbsp salt, and 1 beaten egg.
β Stir in 4 cups of white flour. Once the flour is stirred in, remove the stirring paddle and replace it with the dough hook.
β Add 4 - 6 more cups of white flour or enough to form a stiff yet elastic dough.
Finnishing the Dough
Continue adding flour until the dough no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl. The dough is too wet if it sticks to the side but it is okay if it clings to the bottom of the bowl a little.
When the dough is the right consistency let the dough mix on spead 1 for 8 minutes.
Remove the dough hook.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, (turn dough once so both sides are greased) cover with a plastic bag and let it rise in a warm area.
(Note: I used our woodstove for a warm place which works great but you could also warm the oven to about 180 degrees fahrenheit then turn off the oven and leave the oven light on. This creates a nice warm area for the dough to rise.)

Rising and Shaping the Dough
Once the dough has doubled in size (half an hour to an hour) punch it down, divide the dough in half and shape into 2 long baguette shaped loaves. Allow the loaves to rise till almost doubled. It is important that they don't over rise because the dough will start sinking.
Making the Garlic Spread
To make the garlic spread, measure half a cup of butter, 6 cloves of minced garlic, 2 tbsps chopped parsley, ΒΌ tsp salt, Β½ a cup parmesan cheese and 1Β½ cups mozzarella cheese into a bowl. Mix the ingredients together and add enough oil to make the mixture spreadable.
Applying the Garlic Spread
Slice the bread almost all the way through and spread the garlic mixture on each slice.
Wrap the loaf in tin foil and bake at 350Β°F for 20 minutes. Unwrap the foil pull the slices apart and enjoy a couple slices of this warm, fresh, melt in your mouth garlic bread!!ππ

Baking the Bread
When the loaves have risen place them into a 350Β°F oven and bake for 35 minutes.
Brush loaves with butter while still hot.
Allow to cool for half an hour so loaves are easier to slice.
