Gardening Tools Carrier
Since the pandemic, many are driven closer to home based. Some even adopted gardening life style with planting vegetables and etc. I was trying a mini out of it and as I was having a grip of it something is missing. A gardening tools carrier came in my mind. Looking around as I am big fans of recycling and so again I evolved it with some used papers like my other project before and this time I added some water piping left over from reparation. Thus, it turns out to be my good buddy with planting.
Supplies
- Some old used papers - either one side blank or both sides used up ( your choice)
- 1/2 inch water pipe cut to desire length for height to holding it up.
- White glue
- Mini saw - use to cut the water pipe
- Some small piece cardboard if you wish to close the holes on the T-elbow and bottom of the pipe at the bottom part.
- Mini hammer - to tightened the joint of pipe and T-elbow
- Glue gun
- Used sauce plastic cups ( choice of used plastic bottle lids also possible)
- Paint - bottle or spray ( brown and white)
Getting Paper Ready Into Shape of a Container Box
- Roll up papers into strips and use any round shape object to roll up strips into circles. ( complete details on paper rolling is available on my other instuctables in "vase' )
- Form the circles into 3 different parts of 3x6, 2x3 (2 pcs) and 2x6 (2 pcs)
- Join all the pieces into based, front, back and sides
- Details on pipe joining in the next section
Note: At this point , you may consider painting or spray some paint before joining the pipes as the handles. ( as I did with brown colour) or you may like to paint it as a whole at the end of the project.
Inserting Water Pipe Into the Container
Get the fittings for the pipe as the based to support the container , I used sauce plastic container for this one. Insert pipes on it individually, glue gun together the pipe and container - 2 pcs (pic 1) Flip the bottom of the container, insert the pipe in the middle (left and right) corners. (pic 2) Add T elbows on both pipe (you may like to cover up one side of the T elbow's holes with cardboard or just leave it as it is). Hammer it lightly so as it does not loosen up (pic 3) while fitting a smaller piece of pipe in the centre to join both pipes. Now you can glue gun the fittings from the pipe into the base of the container . Now , you are done ! To add water proof, you may paint it all as a whole uniform colour or your preference, as I did brown on base and white on the handle.
Enjoy your gardening with fun, pleasure and Go Green.
