GIFT IDEA, DIY WOODEN GIFT SPOON!!!!!

In this Instructable I will be walking you through the steps of making a beautiful and eye catching gift.
Supplies
A piece of 2*4 pine
Mineral oil
Drawing on the Template and Cutting It to Rough Shape

For this step I used a hand saw for cutting out the rough shape but you can also use a knife or a power saw.
First I pasted on the template and then I cut it to the rough shape with a hand saw.
Carving It Out and Hollowing Out the Details

For this step I used a Roughing knife and a Dremel.
I carved out the basic shape and then I used the Dremel for the finer details and to sand it.
Rounding of the Bottom of the Spoon

Next I took the roughing knife and carved the bottom to shape.
Then I used some sand paper to smooth it out.

For this step I just took a round edge chisel and carved out the center.
Then I just took some sand paper and smoothed out the whole spoon.
I just used some Mineral Oil because it seals the wood and makes it food safe.
Plus, it adds a little bit of color.
