Hi everyone, I am Ensar. Today I will write about my longest project. I have done it in 2018 fall and today I have a energy for tell to you. I will give you DXF files for laser engraving, and Arduino codes. Please subscribe my YouTube Channel. I spend my all summer for this project. Because everything is hand made on the plane.

170cm x 185cm

Necessaries:

10 x 1cm diameter 1m stick

2 m2 - Hardboard (or Balsa tree)

4 m2 - Coating Paper

3mm x 4 m2 White Cardboard

2 x Arduino Uno

2 x Nrf24l01

2 x Joystick Module

1 x 1000 kV Brushless motor

1 x 3S Li-Po battery

1 x 30A Brushless motor driver

6 x 9g Servo Motor

2 x 1025 propeller

Laser Engraving - DXF Files

I used Autocad for all drawings. You can find DXF. file on this part.

I preferred the 4mm hardboard for profiles. You can use balsa tree on profiles. You will have lighter chassis. But balsas under water strength level lower than hardboard.

Body Assembly

Every body part has a number on own surface, and you will see some holes on profiles, these holes are for main stick profile. You should paste them with 2 cm space on main profile sticks. You must paste them completely perpendicular to stick. You can find a sample on first part of YouTube video series. Some parts of body have 3 holes for main stick profile. You should use all of them for a straight body.

First Body Wrapping

For first layer I used hard cardboard. I cut them to 1 cm thick strips. You should wrap every space with this strips. You will get more strong chassis. You can see on 2. part of YouTube video.

Wings

I used the 5cm thick polyurethane boards. I cut their on laser engraving too. For free spaces between wing profiles. I would recommend to polyurethane spray. You can get perfect shape with this. You should paste the last wing profile to 85. cm on 1 meter sticks. Every wing profile have 2 holes for 1 cm sticks. These are main profiles for wings. Wings will be portable, then they must be removable. Drawing files has a 4 profile for wing supports. You can find this on 3. part of YouTube video. Also wings have one servo motor for directions. At the end we will have 5 active wings. Right, left, rear right, rear left and vertical stabilizer.

Epoxy Resin & Fiberglass

This part is completely optional for your model. I wanted to try fiberglass on wings.

I used the thickest fibre. I used AKFIX Epoxy resin in my project. It has two tubes, one of them is hardener and other one main liquid. It will be hard after 15 minutes. You should mix 2 liquid perfectly for perfect fiberglass. It was my first experiment.:) You should have a hard mold for fiberglass.

Landing Gear

I bought my landing gears from aliexpress.com. You can find easily, it is about 5-6 dolars. I prefer 3D printed parts now. 2 gear on the front and single gear on the back of the plane. You must fix them to main chassis. I used a servo motor for back gear. I wanted moving on the ground without any intervention. (It is very hard to control on the ground with reacted gear.)

Electronics & Radio Frequency

I used a basic Arduino Uno for plane and nano for controller. My communication module is Nrf24l01, it has 2 km range. You can find all codes in this part. You can find pinouts in Arduino codes. If you have a question you can add a comment.

Second Body Wrapping

For second layer we will use car wrapping paper, it will protect us from water and rain. You must use this with hot-air machine. Wrap everywhere and get smooth completed surface. This step is too important.
