G4F8 - Details.jpg

Intro

G4F8 is the makers dream droid, as this little droid is the ultimate helper. G4F8’s programming is to help lend a hand whenever possible, whether that is handing you the right tool for the job, shining some extra light where needed, or picking up after you have moved on to another task.

Personality

Although super helpful and friendly for the most part G4F8 does have a bit of an obsessive-compulsive nature to cleaning and a bit of a hoarder mentality for small pieces and parts. G4F8 has a bit of a fixation on collecting the most common socket sizes and you can usually find a rather large collection hidden away in G4F8’s charging station aka nest.

Features

1 – Large optic sensor

1 – Camera (for recording when a build goes wrong)

1 – Light ring (for added light when needed)

2 - Arms (for lending a hand and cleaning)

2 - Storage bins (for holding all the stuff)

1 – Rolling tread for getting around

1 – Antenna for receiving short range transmissions

Build

This was my first-time using Fusion 360 and although it took me a bit to get the hang of the workflow, I think this little guy came together nicely. I did have to create a texture in Photoshop as I couldn’t find any in Fusion that captured the look but that could just be my inexperience.
