I only gather up for the photo. Otherwise I would just grab and go.
2 cups flour
1 Tbs yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup shortening or butter
3/4 cups milk
2 quarts oil
Mix All

except the Crisco and milk.
Cut the Crisco (or room temp butter) in with a fork or fingers.
Warm up the milk in the microwave or pan. You should still be able to keep your finger in it or it is too HOT!
Add warm milk to dry ingredients. Stir.
Kneed 15 times to a soft ball.
Cover let set for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in large pan.
