Fruity Pebbles Candy Bar

IMG_2494.JPG

I like to make my own Crunch bars, and sometimes I throw freeze dried raspberries in them. I was wondering the other day how they would be with Fruity Pebbles in them instead! I gave it a try and was happy with the results. I even learned that it is already a thing sold in stores (seen here and similar here), but I don't think it's easy to find. Try making Fruity Pebbles Candy Bars your self and try out different add ins to go with it to see what you think!

What's nice about candies like these is you don't HAVE to be precise. You can add in the amount that you like. I will give you general amounts to go off of but you can add more or less of anything to your taste.

The amount I used filled about 3 bars worth with my mold. You don't need to make these bars very thick, but it kind of happens on its own because of how big the Fruity Pebbles are.

Sometimes I like to add toppings to the bars after I fill the molds (before they harden). In this instance cereal marshmallows go well with the ingredients.

Start by melting your white chocolate.

I added maybe a teaspoon of paramount crystals to help with melting. I microwaved in half minute increments and my small amount only took about 1 minute total. Remember to stir as they are melted before they look melted.

Once melted, mix in your Fruity Pebbles. You can start with less if you aren't sure how much you want and then add more until you are happy with it. I tried to fold it carefully with a knife and

Add your mix to the molds to make your bars.

Try to carefully nudge it into all the corners and crevices. I also tap the mold on the table to help it settle into the mold. Scrape the edges with your knife to clean them up and then let them sit until they have set.

You don't have to fill the molds. I actually tried to do them as thin as I could, but this mix will be thick because of the cereal so you might be limited on how thin it can be.

Once they are ready, take them out and enjoy!

Milk Chocolate?

I've also made these with milk chocolate before, but the white chocolate is going to give you a more cereal and milk taste.
