Frozen Mango Strawberry Cocktail
*Making this alcholoic is 100% optional! I actually prefer it without :)
Supplies
The amount of each you will need will depend on tastes. I preferred more mango nectar than pineapple-orange juice, but mix it up and see what you li
Ingredients:
- Strawberries
- Mango Nectar/Juice
- Pineapple-Orange Juice
- Sugar
- Silver Rum (optional)
Utensils:
- Blender
- Sauce Pan
- Ice Cube Trays (I used ones like this, but I bought them for $1.50 at a Daiso)
Prepare Strawberries
I decided to cut these up fairly small because I wanted to leave them whole when I was done and I didn't want the pieces really big. Do what feels right to you.
When you are done, do not blend. You want those delicious strawberry chunks!
Mix and Freeze
Blend and Serve
Time to blend. Put your iced cubes, some drink, and some rum into your blender. Add juice as needed to get it to the consistency you want. You really don't need to measure since it's mostly juice with more juice, you are concentrating on getting the consistency.
To serve, spoon in the strawberry sauce/compote into the bottom of your glass. Now you want to first spoon some of the blended mango drink in the glass and carefully set it on top of the strawberries. Once you have covered them you can pour the rest of the mango slush in the glass. You probably can just pour it right in, but I wanted my strawberries to stay nice so I spooned it in.
Now enjoy! I like it best all mixed together!
