Who doesn’t like a little creativity around Halloween in the kitchen? Frankenstein scared every kid who ever saw his face. This was an opportunity to create a Frankenstein dip with a twist while applying a face you will never forget for the rest of your lifetime. This guacamole is sure to be a big hit at your house as it captures the essence of your taste buds, memories of watching the Frankenstein movie and can be enjoyed by all. Don’t be scared of this Frankenstein Guac!

Frankenstein Guac

Ingredients:

3 large ripe avocados, peeled and cubed

1/4 cup small white onion, minced

1/4 cup small jalapeño, minced

2 tbsp. cilantro (fresh if available), minced

1 tbsp. lemon juice, fresh (can also use lime)

1/8 tsp. salt

Tortilla Chips (blue, red)

Optional: sour cream, refried beans, ripe black olives, stuffed blue cheese green olives & carrots.

Optional Ornamental: pumpkin on a stick (mini orange pumpkins on tray)

Add peel and cubed avocado to a bowl.

Chop onion and place in food chopper for 15 seconds, remove and measure 1/4 cup. Clean food chopper.

Chop jalapeño and place in food chopper for 15 seconds, remove 1/4 cup. Set food processor aside.

Add minced onion and jalapeño to bowl and stir with spatula.

Add minced cilantro to bowl and mix with spatula.

Add lemon juice and blend all ingredients using blender. Blend until guacamole is smooth 1-2 minutes.

Decorate Frankenstein Guac

Spoon guacamole onto platter, shape into a rectangle.

Pipe sour cream ring for the eyes using small tip, then place end of an olive in the middle and pipe another sour cream ring around the black olive.

Add large 2 inch sliced orange carrot for nose.

Add 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper, optional for freckles.

Pipe refried beans using small tip for eyebrows and mouth.

Add green olives stuffed with blue cheese for ears with ear wax on each side of head.

Add two small sliced carrot pieces on each side of mouth and point upward to to simulate a smile.

Add colored tortilla chips for the hair and position a row at a time starting at the top of the guacamole.

Enjoy this creative Frankenstein Guacamole, you will never forget the look or the taste.
