Framed Nature
Hi! Spring comes and we dress with the colors of the succulents. In this tutorial we bring nature to our home creating a beautiful living table of succulents, taking advantage of the fact that nature itself is a work of art.
In this type of small gardens we can work without gloves, so that the contact with the ground is more intimate.
Succulents have the property of storing water in their leaves.
Materials
- Wooden pot painted by hand and conditioned for gardening *.
- Small decorative flowerpot
- Soil
- Succulents
- Scissors
- Spoon
- Decorative stones
* Previously open two holes in the bottom of the box and cover with black plastic so that the wood does not rot.
Selection of Succulents and Disposition of the First Elements
The first step is to select the plants that will be used.
Then fill the large pot with soil, then place a small pot in the lower center of the large pot, above plant a round shaped succulent simulating that leaves the small pot.
Planting Technique
Place succulents of different sizes, shapes and colors that make contrast and make a harmonic composition.
To ensure that they are well sown, the soil where each succulent is sown should be pressed as shown in the video.
Preparation of the Succulents to Plant
Prune and cut with scissors the excess root of each succulent. The leaves that are removed are sown in different places in the pot.
Culture Technique
Dig holes in the ground with a spoon and plant each succulent.
Final Decoration
Finally, to complete the composition, place decorative stones where the succulents have not been planted.
