Wooden Stool With Storage

This is a wooden stool with a built-in storage/trash can compartment that I made for my girlfriend. She has a severely tiny kitchen, so rather than waste cabinet space on a regular kitchen trashcan, she wanted a stool/footstool that could also function as a trashcan. Leaving plenty room for those pots and pans in the cabinets.
The design is made with a bent mahogany laminate which has been mounted onto a steel cylinder. I apologize for the lack of an actual instructable, but as with most of my projects, it was very last minute with very little planing so not much time was left for documenting the process.
