Footpeg for Scooter
My original footpeg has been broken after an accident, so I decided to create a new one with my 3D printer. Pure plastic would not be acceptable since strength is not enough. I tested different designs with metal reinforcement and found this one. If your footpeg is broken you can use my design with your dimensions to repair your scooter or bicycle.
Supplies
- M5 x 80 - 140mm, 2 pcs
- M4 x 20, 2 pcs
- Nut M4, 2 pcs
- Washer M5, 4 pcs
- 100-150g of PETG/ABS/Neylon or other plastic (except PLA)
Measure
In the beginning, you need to measure your footpeg fastening and broken footpeg to create a 3D model.
Create 3D Model
Create a 3D model with your dimensions. Use my design from these images. I used FreeCad for designing, but you can use any CAD system which you are familiar with.
Print Footpeg
Print footpeg. Use PETG/ABS/Neylon plastic. PLA is not acceptable.
Assemble all parts into a solid footpeg.
Install Footpeg to Your Scooter
I use screw M6 on my scooter to fix the footpeg in its place.
Enjoy Your New Footpeg
I am 80kg and it holds me when I stay on two footpegs. My wife is smaller and she does not stay on it, just keeps her feet with a max of 10 kg.
