I made a fondue pot holder for my partner this cold season. We enjoyed many pots of fondue in Switzerland when she was studying there. So now we need our own here in the US.

Supplies

  1. Two of 12"x12"x0.050" stainless steel sheet
  2. .125" or M4 Rivets
  3. Riveting tool
  4. Waterjet cutter
  5. 0.125" solid core Al wire

Cut the Parts

Cut the following parts out on a waterjet cutter.

Bend the Sheet Metal Legs

Using a vice, bend the tabs on the pot legs 90 degrees inward and then 90 degrees backwards.

Rivet It Together

Using a set of .125" or M4 rivets and a riveting hand tool, put the components together as shown in the image.

Run .125" Wire Through the Legs

Using a set of solid core wire, run a bent strand from one leg to another. This forms a flexible ring to hold the fire gel holder of the fondue pot.
