Folding a Fitted Sheet

Follow the steps below to learn to fold a fitted sheet!

Step 1 – Take the fitted sheet and lay it out on a flat surface, length wise. Spread out all four corners so you can see the seams as circled in the picture. Once that is done stick your right hand up into the top right corner (2) where the right arrow is pointing and grab the inside seam. Next with your left hand, stick it up into the top left corner (1) where the left arrow is pointing and grab the inside seam.

With both hands still holding the corners (1 & 2) bring your arms together in front of you in a clapping motion and with your right hand bring the right corner (2) and tuck it over the left corner (1) (or your left hand).

Step 2- The results should leave your sheet looking as pictured. With corner 2 being on the outside and corner 1 tucked underneath corner 2.

Now do the same thing you did on the top side but now for the bottom side. With your sheet laying flat, grab the bottom left corner (4) outside seam and tuck it up into the top left corner (3) grabbing the inside seam.

Now you should have a sheet that looks like this.

Next step is to stick your left hand where the left arrow is and bring it up inside the top left corner and grab both corner seams (3 & 4). With your right hand stick it where the right arrow is and bring it up inside the top right corner, grabbing both corner seams (2 & 1).

Now you're going to do the same thing you did in step 1 and bring your arms together in front of you in a clapping motion and you're going to take the corners in your right hand (2 & 1) and tuck them over the corners in your left hand (3 & 4). Which should leave you with all 4 corners in your left hand as circled in the picture.

Now lay your sheet flat and it should look like this. All 4 corners at the top right. Spread out the rest of the sheet and make the edges as straight as possible.

Now fold the sheet into thirds as pictured.

After folding the sheet into thirds, it should look like this.

Now fold into thirds again from the top

Continue folding into thirds.

Neatly folded fitted sheet!
