Foam Board Glider

This foam board glider is a great flyer. It is fun to throw around in a big open field. It is a simple build, and can easily be adjusted however you want.

You will need:

• 1 sheet dollar store foam board
• A hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
• A sharp utility knife
• A pencil and ruler

Following the plan above, draw and cut out the pieces from your foam board. All of the measurements are in inches. On the images of the cut out pieces, you can see different dimensions from the ones on the chart. That is because I changed the original size on the wing length and body width. Follow the dimensions given on the plan.

Cut the body pieces half way through along the line given in the plan. Glue the four pieces together with hot glue. Cut holes the size of the wings near the bottom of the the fuselage, as shown in the photo. Cut another hole from the top to the bottom of the back of the fuselage the width of the foam board one inch deep.

Cut both wings half way through down the center. Glue the two wings together slightly bent as shown above.

Finally, glue the tail together as shown above. Then glue the wings in place as centered as you can get them (I drew guidelines an inch from the middle on either side).

Test your glider out to see how it works. Adjust the wing and tail size if necessary to ensure a straight flight. Have fun with your glider!
