This is a fun activity and a great boredom-buster for children that can keep them engrossed in their imagination for hours. All you need is some paper and scissors and you're ready to go.

Being simple and mess-free is an added bonus making this a great project for kids!

Cut long paper strips about 2-3 cm or about 1 inch thick and as long as you like. Here, I have made strips of two different lengths.

Colour and decorate one side of the paper strips using crayons, markers, etc.

From one end of the paper, mark a line about 2 cm away as shown, going halfway across the strip.

Repeat this step from the other end and opposite side as shown.

Cut along the two lines from opposite sides. Do not cut all the way across.

Carefully bend the paper and tuck one cut into the other so that the fish's tail holds together. Make sure that the decorated side of the paper is on the outside.

You're done! Now drop the fishes from a slightly high place and watch them twirl as they fly down into the ocean!
