Flower Vases With Melted Crayons
In this instructable you will learn how to color plastic bottles from the inside with melted crayons. It is a very fun project and with which you can explore many colors and ways to pour the melted crayons and move the bottles to obtain a colorful and different result.
Supplies
- Plastic bottles
- Crayons of different colors
- String (Cabuya)
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Sticks (to stir)
- Aluminum cupcake liners
- Pliers
Deform part of the aluminum mold to create a tip that allows easier pouring of liquid.
Break the crayons that you want to melt and put them inside the aluminum molds.
Bake them for 10 min at 250° F.
Mix the contents of each mold with the mixing sticks.
Pour the melted crayons into the bottles. Turn the bottles in all directions so that they are covered in color everywhere.
I made the colors in the bottle in this step following the same process as before, I just used different colors of crayons as you can see in the images.
For the upper part, I glued a piece of string (cabuya) with hot silicone and began to roll it around the end of the bottle.
They are now ready to be used.
These vases can be used with water, however, I wanted to put dried flowers in these ones so I didn't need water this time.
