The aim of this build was to keep everything as simple as

it could be so we could repair it quickly and effectively,

not stopping you from being on a river for months waiting

for custom parts

The Plan

To start with we wanted to make it entirely out of hollow

stainless steel, which is strong but heavy and won't float.

We also wanted chunky wheels with an axel, but in

the end we just wanted to keep it simple so it can be repaired.

The two poles avoid using any straps and are both made out of hollow

aluminium.

Even down to the materials we used for the nuts and bolts, we

always looked back at our design to improve it,

until we got to this.

The Build

The bulid was a long and painful process of replacing and

waiting for parts to arive and after some time it was all done.

How It Floats

Wood is the main material and while being cheap,

it floats well enough for me.

The poles are made of hollow aluminium which reduces

weight while increasing buoyancy.

Even down to the lightweight shopping trolley wheels

we made it float the best it can.
