Flexible Recreation Cover
This project, named “Flexible Recreation Cover,” showcases an architecture inspired by the concept of football stadiums that can fold, allowing it to be opened or closed. This design is constructed by combining two identical builds together. This building can be used as an open area, letting people walk and enjoy the surroundings and sunshine when the cover is closed up. When the cover is opened, it can be used as a cover during rainy or snowy days, a stadium for locals to perform, or even simply to admire it as an architectural feature. It can be useful and a beautiful sight to see.

- Scissor
- Ruler
- Double-sided tape
- Cardboard
- Pen / Pencil (optional)
- Clear tape (optional)

Mountain and Valley Folds
Do mountain folds for the red lines and valley folds for the black lines, and follow the diagonal folds for the green lines.
📌Tips:
Mountain fold is an origami fold where the paper bends away from you, creating a raised ridge shaped like ∧.
Valley fold is an origami fold where the paper bends toward you, creating a dip-shaped shape ∨.
Diagonal Folds
Fold the diagonal folds for the green lines until they turn flat.
Repeat
Find another piece of graph/grid paper, repeat steps 1-4.
Tape the Base
Use double-sided tape to tape under the two folded paper to a cardboard.
📌Tips: Use clear tape to tape down the structure, then the roof will be closed and show the idea of the closed structure.
Final Structure
After removing the clear tapes, the building will turn from 2-dimensions to 3-dimensions.
