Folding Can

folding can

I made a flat packed can. The can is made out of one polypropylene sheet.

Because of the connections it's easy to assemble or dissasemble.

It's possible to make with a lasercutter.

Make light cuts with your cutter knife at the place where the folds need to come.

First the pink ones then turn around and cut the green ones.

Cut very lightly, you mustn't cut through the sheet.

Remove the Marker

Use a solvent, for example nail polish remover to remove the marker.

Fold It

Fold along the lines you've cut.

The folds must be on the opposite side of the cuts.

By using the laser cutter, most of the lines can be cut carved out.

4 lines still have to be cut by hand.

Then the can is finished.
