Comb, clips, flat iron, heat protecting spray, and a brush
Start With Clean, Dry Hair
Applying heat to wet hair damages it, so having clean, dry hair is less likely to cause damage.
Brush Hair

Make sure hair is not tangled before you start doing anything with it because it would be harder to work with and you wouldn't get the end results you want.
Section the Bottom Perimeter of the Hair

Starting with smaller sections makes it easier to curl the hair, and starting from the bottom will help you not lose your placement.
Turn Flat Iron On
Turn flat iron on to heat up before doing anything with the hair.
Spray Heat Protectant on Hair

Make sure to protect the hair from the heat by spraying heat protectant on the hair.
Take a Small Section From the Bottom Perimeter of the Hair
Start curling with a small section from the bottom perimeter.
Clamp Hair With Flat Iron

Hold hair between flat iron for a few seconds and twist away from the face.
Keep Doing Small Sections on One Side of the Head
Continue working your way up the head until finished.
Repeat Until Finished
Repeat everything on the rest of the head.
