Flashlight and Pocket Knife- Batman Belt Sheath
belt sheath for pocket knife and flashlight for my duty belt

Gather Materials
things you WILL need (top row):
flashlight and knife
hammer
straight edge (not shown)
strap cutter
hole punch
exacto knife
thread
leather
thread chisel
contact cement
optional items:

stamp or backgrounder

bees wax

Cut Strip of Leather
with a straight edge off the side of your leather use your straight edge or strap cutter to slice off a piece. mines about 3"x20"
Swivel and Glue
i swivle knifed a line on the exterior just for looks.
then lay out your items to know how much room youll need. leave a little space for your belt holes, and glue and fold the leather over so its nice and even with the other side.

Punch Holes and Sew
i gave myself about 1/4" from the side and punch my holes to sew. if you look closely at the needle in the first photo you can see how i thread my needle.

Punch and Cut Belt Hole
about 1/4 from your sewing line lay out where you want the ends of your loop to be and punch your holes.
with your straight edge and exacto knife cut from hole to hole, giving you your belt loop.

Sew
another 1/4 inch over. chisel more holes. and sew. same as before.
cut off the excess thread from the bottom after a couple knots.

keeping the bottom layer flat, lay your flashlight on and wrap the top layer around very tightly.
it helped me to mark the edges to keep alignment while chiseling holes.
pull the light and hold everything together very tight. chisle and sew.
i did the optional step of stamping a weave pattern before wrapping.

Wrap Your Knife
same step as the flashight. wrap the knife tight. mark leather. chisle holes. and sew.
Glue, Sew, Punch Holes, and Cut.
same as the start of this project!
chisel some straight lines. sew.
punch holes, same as the beginning.
punch and sew again
and cut off the excess leather about a 1/4" from your belt loop

Burnish Youe Edge and Dye/finish
use your burnisher to finish off the sharp edge. make it round and smooth to match the other side.
dye using gloves and a sponge.
and your done!
