Flaming Cheese Balls
For this project I decided to do some Spicy cheese balls, these would be air fried until they are nice and crispy making them crunchy on the outside with a special spicy crust and then some melting and soggy cheese inside giving it an excellent taste. I chose this project because I am very passionate about cooking and enjoy doing it. It is something that I do weekly by cooking on Sundays with my family and personally believe I am very good at it. I also chose this project because I have never cooked fried food, and I am looking forward to using this opportunity to challenge myself and see how good I really am at cooking.
Supplies
Ingredients
8 oz cheddar cheese grated
1 cup of flour
2 cups bread crumbs
2 eggs large
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon chili pepper powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
Equipment
Non-stick skillet
Paper towels
Toothpicks
Perforated turner
Air Fryer
Condiment Cheese
Mix grated cheese with 1/2 teaspoon chili powder.
Form Cheese Balls
Take 1 teaspoon of the cheese mix and form a ball.
Prepare for Frying
When all cheese balls are done, roll them through the flour. Mix egg with water and beat well. Mix the bread crumbs with the remaining chili powder. Dip the cheese balls in egg, one at a time, then roll through flour again, then back to egg dipping. Lastly, roll through bread crumbs and nicely coat the whole ball.
Fry the Cheese Balls
When all balls are coated as above, place on air fryer at 180°C, and cook the cheese balls until golden, about 3 minutes.
Take Out the Cheese Balls
Remove on a paper towel. Stick a toothpick, so they're easier to grab and serve. And let them still for about 1 min.
Serve the Cheese Balls
Serve the cheese balls on a nice plate and add a dipping sauce on the side of your choice. Finally, take a bite and enjoy the perfect, soggy and spicy cheese balls.
