Flail Made of Wood

We received an assignment at school to make an instructable in groups of 2 we have chosen to participate in this contest because we would get extra points we chose to make a medieval weapon because it seemed cool and a nice decoration.

supplies

- You need a stick with a diameter of 3 cm and a length of 80 cm

- You need 2 sticks that are 1cm*1cm wide and 1m long.

- You need 1 roll of hemp rope

Machinery/tools

- Saw

- Drilling machine

- Cutting pliers

- Pencil

- Paper

- Sander

- Sandpaper

Step 1:

-          Take a stick with a thickness of 1x1 cm and a length of 110 cm.

-          Saw it into pieces of 6 cm long so that you are left with 17 sticks of 6 cm.

-          Drill holes 1 cm from the lace on both sides of all the sticks.

Step 2:

-          Take 11 strings with a length of 15 cm.

-          Put the strings through the holes in the sticks and put 2 on the side and 1 in the middle and so on until you have them all together.

Step 3:

-          Take a stick with a diameter of 3 cm and a length of 80 cm.

-          Drill a hole at the top through which a string can pass.

-          At the bottom you have to plan a handle how you want.

Step 4:

-          Take the same stick as in step 1 and saw 1 piece of 12 cm and 2 of 10 cm and 2 of 8 cm.

-          Then saw 2 of 10 cm and 4 of 8 cm and stick them together.

-          Continue until you have a round ball.

Step 5:

-          Make the ball on the chain and the chain on the stick.
